In a display of physics, magnetism’s B-field is turned into a visual translation. It took 90 man hours to build this piece and was completed over a very long weekend. The bars are held up in space by powerful magnets inside and held down by stainless cable. The pattern of bars flows towards and away from the viewer on the curved frame attached to the main square frame. When one bar moves from wind or contact, the adjacent bars move from each having its own magnetic field. This piece is located in the RPI Library in Troy, NY.
